Design Cooperative, LLC is a collaborative partnership of award-winning architecture and interior design professionals. We have combined the diverse experience of our partners, in a wide variety of project types, to provide an outstanding level of knowledge and creativity in the field of architecture and design. Passion for design guides our commitment to sophisticated design solutions and the highest quality of service to our clients and our community. Our studio is located in the Southbank / San Marco area of Jacksonville, Florida.
We approach each project with an open mind and endeavor to understand the identity of the project and its users in order to create a unique and intuitive solution for the building and surrounding community. We promote the use of sustainable practices on every project; we embrace the restraints of the project and allow them to strengthen the design. We communicate our concepts clearly and effectively to encourage discourse.
Our range of work has included residential projects from high-end, high-rise condos to affordable rental units for the Jacksonville Housing Authority. Our commercial experience includes office buildings, parking structures, and retail, entertainment, government, and higher education facilities. We also have experience in furniture design, graphic design, and public art installations.
Our work has been featured in numerous publications including Florida Caribbean Architect, the Florida Times-Union, the Jacksonville Business Journal, the Daily Record, Downtown This Week, Arbus, and Realty / Builder Connection. In 2006 we received an Award of Merit from the American Institute of Architects Jacksonville Chapter for Gallery 13, a conceptual design for the adaptive reuse of the Hayden Burns Library. In 2007 we received an Award of Honor from the American Institute of Architects Jacksonville Chapter for 16:flat, a 16-unit residential urban-infill project.
